Music Camp
The ACMS three-day residential Music Camp is the highlight of our year and it attracts players from interstate. Participation is open to members only, or to members of affiliated societies interstate.
The next Music Camp is planned to be held at Frensham School, Mittagong, on 2 - 5 October 2026.
We have farewelled Bathurst and moved the music camp to Frensham school at Mittagong.

It is pleasant to be welcomed at Frensham, a school which places great store on all the students being involved in music and which regards the involvement of ACMS as something which adds to the school culture. We hope that we can find ways to develop this engagement down the track.
The next thing which came as a relief was the realisation that everything that we need is in the one location. The music centre has pianos enough to keep us happy. The dining hall is next door. The accommodation is a few steps further on, so no more commuting at morning and afternoon tea. Even the wind players will find time to deal with their instruments AND have a cuppa before strolling on to the next group.
And finally it is an hour by car from Sydney. There is a train from Sydney to Mittagong (on the Opal network). The school is five minutes by car from Mittagong town centre, shops, restaurants, etc. It is very convenient.
Members can indulge in chamber music playing for a full three days in delightful, relaxing surroundings. The camp provides opportunities for both organised and self-arranged sessions of chamber music. Tutors are engaged to provide some chamber music tuition. There are opportunities to perform short pieces in concerts or simply enjoy the informal performances by being part of the audience.

Workshop Session
There will be a workshop held in the first session of the camp. The topic is yet to be announced. Please indicate on the enrolment form if you want to take part in this. There workshop has a limit of 30 participants and there will be normal playing for those not in it.
Cost & Payment of Balance
Costs are yet to be worked out.
